Gift cards purchased as part of a special promotion must be claimed within the defined period, as advertised. While they do not necessarily need to be redeemed, they do need to be *claimed*, which means the secure code must be exposed. If a promotional gift card remains unclaimed beyond the advertised time period, it will no longer be available for use.
